In his new book ‘There Never Was a Day Like Tomorrow,’ Dutch photographer Ilja Keizer presents a large selection of brand-new photos.

The images show an intimate and slightly melancholic style of raw black-and-white photography, featuring crazy talented artists, actors, musicians, and friends. All shot using only natural daylight in his studio in Amsterdam Noord.

The faces of the portrayed people have intense and open expressions and tell beautiful, often touching stories. They recite great poets, share struggles, passions, and fears. They bring a tear, a happy tear, their dreams for the future. A hint of tomorrow.

Dedicated to my mother; ‘dankjewel lieve Hetty.’

Thank you, dear Matylda Szewczyk, for helping me pick the best ones, and for letting me steal your songs.
